In April, our team hosted an empowering Substance Misuse Seminar for a select group of young minds.
During this eye-opening workshop, we tackled the hard truths about substance misuse and addictive behaviors head-on. From distinguishing between legal and illegal drugs to understanding the different classes and schedules of substances, we covered it all.
But it didn’t stop there! Through engaging activities, we empowered our participants to recognize the red flags of substance abuse and familiarize themselves with the sneaky aliases these harmful substances hide behind.
And as the session concluded, we made sure our students left armed with valuable information on where to seek help if they, or someone they care about, find themselves in need.
This group continues to meet every Thursday. Together, we are equipping our youth with the knowledge and resources they need to make healthy, informed choices! #allinforkids #inschoolsandbeyond
