It is hard to believe we are already into the 4th Quarter with our students. Our work continues, and we have had a lot of incredible impact in March. Read below to see some of our highlights and upcoming events.

Being present makes a huge impact in the lives of Chatham students and families, and this past month has been a testament to that! Our staff and volunteers have been hard at work, ensuring that students receive the support, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
Throughout March, we’ve been busy leading cooking classes for teens, helping them develop life skills while building confidence in the kitchen. We’ve also hosted reading groups for young children, fostering a love for books and literacy at an early age. Each week, we’ve distributed 400 food bags to students, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals. In addition, our dedicated mentors have been working one-on-one with students, providing guidance, encouragement, and a steady presence in their lives.
Beyond these programs, our work extends into every school we serve, offering crucial support through a variety of initiatives designed to meet the needs of our students and families. The impact of this work is real, and we see the results every day—in a student’s newfound confidence, in a grateful smile, and in the connections we build within our community.
We are incredibly grateful for our staff, volunteers, and donors who show up each day, making a tangible difference. Your dedication and generosity fuel this work, and together, we are creating lasting change. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!

We were thrilled to host our partners from Oak Foundation and Triangle Community Foundation for a site visit this month. It was an inspiring time of Q&A, sharing success stories, and visiting Virginia Cross Elementary for our weekly food bag distribution. All of us who participated were encouraged and uplifted – especially seeing the excitement and joy in the students. As we walked through the halls of the school, students and staff eagerly greeted Tych, Eva, Ruby, and Janet, which was a special and vivid demonstration of how much these relationships have made a difference.
Partnerships play a vital role in our work, helping us empower and uplift Chatham County students every day. We are grateful to these foundations, and everyone who invests in this life changing work. Thank you!

We are thrilled to celebrate our very own Shirille Lee, who was recently honored with the Town of Siler City Community Service Award! This well-deserved recognition highlights Shirille’s unwavering dedication to our community. She is a shining light, making a life-changing impact on students and families every day. Shirille, your presence, passion, and commitment inspire us all. Thank you for all that you do—this community is better because of you!
