Over the last few weeks, we’ve been reminded of the incredible power of partnership and community! Together, with amazing individuals, companies, and organizations, we’ve provided vital resources to our students and families, including:

–Winter Coat Distribution – Thank you, Chatham Community Church and Lisa Skumpija!

–Reality of Money Training – Thank you, State Employees Credit Union!

–Toiletries Collection & Distribution – Thank you, Joan Bullard, Paige Dixon, and our friends at Governors Club!

–Weekly Food Bag Distribution – Thank you, Interfaith Food Shuttle !

–Chicken Thanksgiving Dinner Boxes – Thank you, Mountaire Farms and Chatham Health Alliance!

–Teen Court – Thank you, JCPC and Volunteers for Youth!

–Cooking Matters for Teens Graduation – Thank you, Erika Guy, Pittsboro Presbyterian Church, and CORA Food Pantry!

It truly takes a community to surround students and families with the support they need to stay in school and achieve in life. Thank you to every partner, volunteer, and supporter.

We have been highlighting some of the powerful stories of lives being impacted through CISCC staff and volunteers. If you haven’t had a chance to read these stories, visit our blog to read more. We think you’ll be inspired and encouraged by these amazing stories.

On November 1st, we came together to honor the souls of our loved ones in this beautiful celebration of life. We are especially grateful to Maria Soto, for all the hard work she put into setting up the altar. And we are grateful to the NC Arts Incubator for providing the space. It was a well-attended event, and many from the community were able to gather, fellowship, and take part in this celebration.
