Kianna Mason is a Siler City native. She was born in Siler City, NC but moved away at a young age. Her family returned when she was 9. As a graduate of Chatham Middle School and Jordan-Matthews High School, she is no stranger to the community. She is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University in University Studies, minoring in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration in Family Support Services. She plans to obtain a career in Family Support Services to help build and maintain the family unit in Chatham County.
Kianna has previously worked in the childcare field in the daycare setting. While working in daycares, she quickly learned her passion was not solely in her love for children but for the family dynamic. She believes that if the family can flourish then the children will thrive. Working with Communities In Schools will help to grow Kianna’s endearment for families and community involvement.
